ATIC High School Chapters & Development Timeline
A Sovereign, Structured Pathway for the Next Generation of Integrity Leaders
Overview of ATIC High School Chapters
ATIC High School Chapters serve as local research and governance nodes within ATIC’s national youth ecosystem. Each chapter operates under ATIC’s institutional framework, contributing to:
national research outputs
youth AI literacy assessments
Integrity Score evaluations
school‑wide awareness initiatives
ATIC’s public‑benefit mission
Chapters are open to all students, but leadership roles are concentrated through demonstrated capability, integrity, and sustained contribution.
ATIC chapters follow a continuity‑driven governance model designed to prevent senior burnout and ensure long‑term stability.
Senior Fall → Junior Spring Succession
Seniors lead the chapter during Semester 1 (Aug–Dec)
New chapter President and Vice-President candidates are selected to shadow and train during this period
After New Year, senior leadership transition into advisor roles. The chapter President becomes the Senior Advisor and the Vice-President transitions into the Associate Advisor. Chapter President and V.P. will assume status at the start of semester 2 (Jan-June).
This cycle repeats annually, unless the chapter’s founder began the chapter during their freshman year, in which the founder retains presidency over all 3.5 years and transitions to senior advisor during the last semester of senior year.
Chapter Structure & Leadership Model
Accelerated Timelines for Late Joiners
ATIC provides structured, accelerated pathways for students who join after freshman year.
Sophomore (3‑Year Track)
Accelerated foundations
Junior‑year leadership
Senior‑year advisory
Junior (2‑Year Track)

Senior‑year candidacy to chapter President or V.P.
Senior (1‑Year Track)

Assessment support
Every student can meaningfully participate regardless of when they join. Appointing candidates to leadership is merit-based and evaluated by current chapter leaders. Leadership is permitted to sophomore and junior students after intensive training is completed but not senior joiners.
Freshmen who found an ATIC chapter receive:
Automatic CSF‑HS eligibility
3.5 years as Chapter President
A full 4‑year leadership arc
Direct mentorship from ATIC national leadership
This is the most prestigious youth leadership pathway within ATIC.
Founder Track
(For Students Who Establish a Chapter)
ATIC PRESIDENTIAL RANK SYSTEM
(Founder Track)
A four‑stage ascension for founders who retain the presidency for 3.5 years or more than 1 year.
1. Founding President
Freshman Year (Founding Year) The student who establishes the chapter and sets its initial structure, mission, and operational foundation.
This title signals origin, authorship, and institutional creation.
2. Associate President
Sophomore Year The founder now leads early operations, manages small initiatives, and begins formal Integrity and assessment responsibilities.
This title communicates developing authority without overstating seniority.
3. Executive President
Junior Year The founder now holds full operational control, oversees all chapter functions, manages evaluations, and leads national‑level outputs. This is the apex operational title as the chapter’s true executive.
4. Senior President
Senior Fall Semester The founder reaches the highest leadership status, overseeing the chapter’s largest initiatives and preparing the next generation of leaders. This is the ceremonial peak before transitioning to advisory status.
5. Senior Advisor
Senior Spring Semester (Post‑New Year)
The founder steps back from daily operations, providing continuity, mentorship, and institutional memory while juniors assume the presidency. This completes the founder’s four sovereign arc.
Sophomore and Junior year founders
Presidency titles will resume along with the four-year president title plan above.
Sophomore year founders will hold Founding & Associate President → Executive President → Senior President.
Junior year founders will hold Founding & Executive President → Senior President.
